In 1993 we departed Oregon in a Cross 46 Trimaran, initially to sail the Pacific. Our children were 5,3,and 1 when we left. We circumnavigated in around 4 and a half years, returning in '98. My wife home schooled the kids, and we took turns on the helm at night. Another way to travel, really not expensive, and relatively easy these days with GPS,radar,computers, etc.. I tell people if the world were like the cruising community, we wouldn't have any problems, since most everyone takes care of each other. Sincerely, Ron Michael,
