Kathryn at DaringYoungMom.com recently showed off this moment of drunken inspiration. It’s the dirt cheap trash can for your car. Sure, we’re mocking it a little, but rest assurred, we’ll be sportin’ one of these bad boys in the Family Hack urban assault vehicle. Follow these intstructions to contruct your own.
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Thread the handles of a plastic grocery bag over
the arm rests of the front seats.
Step 2:
There is no step 2.

And here all this time I thought that my wife invented that technique! Must be built in to all mothers systems to implement this once garbage starts to pile up in the vehicle.
Dude. My instructions are so much more clearer and more simpler-er than yours.
Ha ha! I loved your instructions! Hilarious…just like your blog. I’m so glad I found it.
UPDATE: Jackie said:
“I have an IKEA Rationell Waste Bin, with handles and a lid, that I use for my van. I don’t keep the lid on it, but I use the plastic store bags to line it and I keep it in between the driver and passenger seat. It’s $4, and waterproof. I don’t have to worry about tossing something in it that will spill before my next stop. MUCH cheaper than those waterproof containers made for the car.”
Thanks Jackie…great idea.
